Systems Architecting
Richard D. Avila
Richard currently works on software intensive systems deployed to high performance and cloud computing systems. He graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a B.S. in physics and mathematics minor in 1994. He served as a US Naval Officer in the US submarine force for close to six years. Upon completion of his naval service he joined the technical staff at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory as an operations research analyst and later a systems engineer. He currently works as a systems architect in cloud computing.
He is also on the adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland Baltimore County,
Training Centers, Senior Lecturer for Data Analytics.
His current research interest is in mathematical approaches to distributed artificial intelligence and developing non-monotonic logics for large scale data intensive analytics.
